How it all began
Vermio is a mountain located in the west central Greece.The mountain reaches a height of 6,732 feet (2,052 m). The whole area is thriving with pine, beech, and oak trees which grow on the slopes. Rodochori is a small village in the east side of the mountain at the altitude of 620 m.
Rodoxori was first inhabited around 1922 and since then it produces some of the best fruit products world wide. The land, altitude, fresh waters, and of course the sun are combined with the best proportions to make it one of the best climates to produce cherries.Here is where Lemon Cherries are grown ,with special characteristics making them unique to their kind
THE CREW
Lemon Cherries is a family business. The products we are farming, are the ones we consume. Priority is given to the quality and not the quantity. This kind of cherry cannot be produced in mass scale because of the restrained productivity of the trees
THE FIELDS
Since 1980 we are farming and harvesting our land.We managed to keep our product in very high levels of quality, supported by the AGRO 2.1 program.
This is a high class fruit and that's why it cannot be delivered for mass consumption. Annual productivity fluctuates from 5000-9000 kilos .
